As a student, do I need to have a guitar before joining classes/sessions?

• It's not mandatory to have the guitar to join the classes/session. During the hourly sessions, we can discuss things like which guitar to buy, when to start classes, students' earlier guitar experience, etc. However, I suggest that you buy a guitar as soon as possible, within a week of joining the classes.

As a student, do I need to know the basics of music before joining group or individual classes?

• No. I am here to teach you music.

What will be the length of each class?

• Each class will be 1 hour long.

Who will be attending the class?

• I (Sarat, the teacher) and the student only.

What if the student misses or is unavailable for the class?

• If the student is unable to attend the class for some reason, it is better to inform me 24 hours earlier. I keep in touch with my students over WhatsApp.

What if Sarat misses or is unavailable for the class?

• Unless it is an absolute emergency, I usually keep the students informed about my availability for the class through WhatsApp.

What is the minimum age for the student?

• I recommend that the student should be at least 16+ so that he/she can understand the concepts taught online.

I missed the workshop. Will I be allowed to join again?

• No. Please make to sure to join the session as we donot track attendance.

Will there be a refund if I decide NOT to join the workshop after I paid?

• Yes. The entire amount will be refunded provided you intimate your decision through email 24 hrs prior to workshop schedule.

I have doubts about the concepts taught in the workshop. How can I approach Sarat to get them clarified?

• You can send out an email with all doubts from your registered email ID to sarat@teluguguitarsongs.com. Mention your name, and workshop date in the subject line followed by a list of doubts in the body of the email.

Should I carry anything else other than a guitar to the workshop?

• I suggest that you have a dedicated music book along with the guitar, in which you can take down notes during the workshop.

As a student, will I get any material while attending the workshop?

• Material worth INR 5000 will be shared for free with the students in the form of PDF documents.

I have no idea about music and I am an absolute beginner. How much time does it take for me to be able to learn guitar and start playing simple songs?

• It varies from student to student. Based on my teaching experience, I would say that it would take around 3 to 6 months for a student to start playing songs. It depends on how much dedication and practice time the student puts into learning the concepts and following the methods I teach.

When will Sarat be available for hourly sessions?

• I am available on weekdays Monday to Friday at 9 PM usually. I keep the 'Session Availability Calendar' up to date in case of any change of plans.

I booked a session but Sarat did not join. What should I do?

• If I accepted a hourly session invite, I make sure to join or inform ahead about my availability so that the session can be rescheduled.

What can I discuss with Sarat in the hourly session?

• You can discuss anything relating to music, guitar, your musical journey and plans, any topic or song that you want to learn. I will help try to help as much as possible within that 1 hour.

As a student, should I know how to play the guitar before buying the song guitar lesson? 

• Yes, you should know at least the basics like pitch, chords, chord shifting, strumming, etc. before buying the song guitar lesson. This is because I will NOT be explaining these basics as part of the video lesson.

Can I request 2 songs at the same time?

• The price mentioned on this website for 'Song Guitar Lesson' is applicable for only one song.

What if I don't understand what is taught in the video or document?

• I try to explain as detailed as possible keeping it simple. If you have any doubts, you can write to me: sarat@teluguguitarsongs.com 

What if I don't know how to play the chords that Sarat taught in the video?

• I try to share original version chords, chords that can be used in transpose, chords with capo - whatever makes it simple for an absolute beginner to be able to play the song.
